Terms & Conditions

The institutional commercial agreement and operational standards governing the Party Platform ecosystem.

Last updated: 28 October 2026 • Jurisdiction: England and Wales

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Organiser”, “Host”, or “Attendee”) and Party Platform (“we”, “us”, or “our”), the operator of Party Platform.

By creating an account, administering an event, submitting an RSVP response, uploading content, or otherwise accessing the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction), possess the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts, and agree unconditionally to be bound by these Terms and our integrated Privacy Policy.

Event Organisers and Account Managers are granted administrative access to create and manage celebration spaces. You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration details. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your login credentials, passkeys, and session tokens.

To prevent unauthorised access to sensitive guest registries, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is enforced for administrative and manager accounts. Any activity conducted under your authenticated session is deemed to have been authorised by you. You must notify us immediately at general@mypartyplatform.com upon discovering any credential breach or security incident.

Subject to continuous compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and utilise Party Platform strictly for personal or authorised commercial event orchestration.

Expressly Prohibited Conduct
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or extracting the underlying source code of the platform.
  • Conducting automated scraping, data mining, harvesting, or indexing of guest lists, attendee details, or vendor directories without express written authorisation.
  • Executing uncoordinated penetration testing, denial-of-service simulations, or security scans without prior executive clearance from our SecOps team.
  • Transmitting unsolicited promotional communications, spam invitations, or deceptive chain messages through our delivery channels.
  • Utilising the platform for any fraudulent, unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or harmful enterprise.

When you import, synchronise, or manually input attendee contact details (including mobile phone numbers, email addresses, and postal locations), you represent and warrant that:

  1. You have an established personal or legitimate business relationship with each recipient or have secured prior consent to contact them.
  2. Your transmission of invitations and event reminders complies fully with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
  3. You will promptly honour any attendee request to opt out or be excised from your event roster.

Our platform enables attendees to record attendance, plus-one guests, and dietary specifications (including food allergies, religious dietary observances such as Halal or Kosher, and medical requirements).

Special Category Data Facilitation Notice: Party Platform operates solely as a technical data conduit between attendees and the Event Organiser. Dietary disclosures are conveyed directly to the Organiser for catering coordination. We assume no liability for food safety, allergen cross-contamination, or catering errors committed by the Organiser or third-party venues.

Party Platform provides software discovery, messaging, and scheduling infrastructure to connect Event Organisers with independent third-party vendors (such as caterers, disc jockeys, venues, photographers, and decorators).

We are not a party to any contract, booking, or commercial transaction concluded between Organisers and Vendors. Vendors operate as independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or partners of Party Platform. We do not endorse, guarantee, or inspect vendor quality, licensing, food hygiene ratings, or public liability insurance. Any disputes regarding vendor performance, service cancellations, or refunds must be resolved directly between the Organiser and the respective Vendor.

Where enabled by the Organiser, the platform provides tools for tracking voluntary pledges, gift registries, ticket purchases, and financial contributions:

  • Pledge Tracking: In-kind or cash pledges recorded by attendees represent non-binding social commitments unless governed by a separate formal agreement. We do not guarantee, underwrite, or enforce the fulfillment of any pledge made on the platform.
  • Payment Gateways: All monetary transactions (including event ticket sales and fee settlements) are processed through accredited third-party payment gateways (such as Stripe). We do not hold, custody, or transmit client funds directly. All payment activities are subject to the respective gateway’s terms of service and operating rules.
  • Disputes & Chargebacks: Organisers are solely responsible for handling refunds, cancellations, and merchant chargebacks in conformity with applicable consumer protection legislation.

Users and attendees may upload photographs, videos, comments, and celebration messages to shared Event Galleries. You retain ownership of all intellectual property rights in your uploaded content. However, by uploading content, you grant Party Platform a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and reproduce that content solely for the purpose of operating the event gallery for your authorised participants.

Child Safeguarding & Minor Privacy Mandate

Celebrations frequently involve children and family members. You represent and warrant that you hold explicit parental or legal guardian consent prior to uploading identifiable images of minors under the age of 18. We maintain zero tolerance for any content that exploits, endangers, or violates the safety of minors. Any such content will be removed immediately, the responsible account terminated, and appropriate referrals made to law enforcement authorities.

To report any infringing, defamatory, or inappropriate gallery media, please contact our Safeguarding Officer immediately at safety@partyplatform.test. We operate an expedited notice-and-takedown procedure.

By utilising Party Platform, you consent to receiving essential transactional communications, including RSVP receipts, two-factor authentication codes, security alerts, and event scheduling updates via email, SMS, or web push notifications. While we leverage industry-grade delivery infrastructure, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free transmission across telecommunications carriers, anti-spam filters, or third-party mail gateways.

Our platform provides automated calendar feeds and “Add to Calendar” integrations (supporting Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook). These features are provided strictly for user convenience. We are not liable for scheduling discrepancies, time-zone offsets, calendar synchronisation latency, or missed celebrations resulting from third-party client behaviour.

All visual interfaces, graphics, interactive widgets, proprietary software code, database architectures, trademarks, and documentation comprising Party Platform are the exclusive intellectual property of Party Platform and its licensors. You may not duplicate, copy, frame, mirror, or reverse engineer any portion of the service without our prior written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in England and Wales:

  • The service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
  • In no event shall Party Platform, its directors, officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or venue cancellation charges.
  • Our total cumulative liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of Party Platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to us in subscription or service fees during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100.00).

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Party Platform and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable legal expenses arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) any unlawful or unconsented transmission of guest invitations; (c) content uploaded by you or your invited guests to the event space; or (d) any dispute between you and any vendor, attendee, or venue.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and event access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, compromise platform security, or engage in abusive or unlawful conduct.

These Terms, their subject matter, and their formation are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of London, England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
